Before I say anything important, I should make a statement.
I hate eyeposing.
So here it is, the male reference pack I've been working on (while shamelessly making my own OC at the same time). What has been done:
- I reproportioned the body so that the head doesn't overweight the whole thing. Actually I just tweaked the bodyshape a bit and decreased the head size. Less space for brains, much better look.
- Polycount has been doubled (you see the pic), edgy deformations are no more.
- All v4 flexes that females have are also included except the one I talked about recently. Also these flexes act a bit differently and better in my opinion. Eyebrows not included yet.
- The base and everything applied to it has been made into dmx for better compiling.
- The UV remains the same, you can recompile any pony you want without loss. Well, almost without it.
I tested this on Strider, it works both in SFM and GMod. Hooray.
What we have now is a week of wasted time, total unsatisfaction, lots of consumed ramen noodles and a badass new base that is still a WIP.
DO NOT TRY TO COMPILE USING SFM's studiomdl.exe OR YOUR RIGHT EYE WILL NOT BE WORKING. SFM compiler fucks up things pretty much, better use TF2 or GMod compilers instead.
Credits:
- eating, drinking, profanity, modeling.
- thanks for guidance and being around, honey.
If problems happen, post in the comments or Note me. DON'T EVEN TRY TO NOTE ME IF YOU HAVE NOT EVEN THE SLIGHTEST IDEA ON HOW TO COMPILE AT ALL.
Ayy lmao.

Also is someone going to be releasing updated versions of the male characters (at least the ones from the original pack) or do we have to compile all of the ones we want from scratch?
Extract it using an archiving program like WinRAR, or 7-Zip.
Hopefully you know what to do from here. If not, go to the link bellow.

Following the tutorial linked above, just replace the male parts with the ones AeridicCore made, and you should be set to have fun ^-^

because if so, its not there... (O_o) ?
If you dont mind me asking, what's the purpose of the phy and why is it important?
new body... and i get to learn about DMX? sweet.
The only problem is that it imports back in Blender real weird.
Oh wait. I forgot. You can't. Because you're Benno.
You can send it to me, I might give it a look though I don't really like the old males appearance.
Anyway was just asking in case you were already planning to do that, if it's not urgent then I'll just send them whenever I get to. (On vacation right now so not at home, also need to check the file to see if anything needs to be cleaned up before someone else can use it.)
The older version of Crowbar ain't shit with dmx compiling. To get rid of this bug you have to either update Crowbar to the latest version or use the method I posted in my reply to Legoguy.
Thanks.
I have been using batch method and I ended up with pinkeye problem.
"x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\bin\studiomdl.exe" -nop4 -r -game "x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod\" "%1"

I'm about to test it using tf2 exactly as you explained to leoguy.
I don't see why it would make a difference using the one with sfm, but for testing sake i'll try it. (downloading tf2 now. will report back shortly.)
----------edit------------
Success!
Compiling it using the studiomdl.exe that came with TF2 got rid of the pink eye bug...
"x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\studiomdl.exe" -nop4 -r -game "x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod" "%1"
@ pause
There is a difference among the two studiomdl.exe.
TF2 - 1.71 MB (1,798,144 bytes)
SFM - 7.86 MB (8,249,344 bytes)
Compiling with Crowbar 0.29.0.0: "C:\Users\*\Pictures\Pictures\Hexes\LegoPony\QC\template_male_new.qc" ...
Compiling ".\template_male_new.qc" ...
... Compiling with Crowbar 0.29.0.0: "C:\Users\*\Pictures\Pictures\Hexes\LegoPony\QC\template_male_new.qc" finished.
I even tried add $cd at the very top, but I got nothing else. Very little of the QC is changed. Am I doing something wrong?
I use the compiler written by myself, that old .bat compiler, you know. You only need to insert your mdlstudio.exe link and your usermod path in there. Looks like:
"C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\studiomdl.exe" -nop4 -r -game "C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod" "%1"
@ pause
Just copy that to a raw .txt, change the path to yours and reformat it to .bat - now you can drag .qc files onto it and it should work.
Yeah, you need to use TF2's studiomdl.exe and compile into SFM's usermod. This method is also good because the models compiled become both SFM and GMod compatible.

Thank you very much.
